Located just 1.5 hours from Watford City, Theodore Roosevelt National Park is a can’t miss for anyone seeking outdoor adventure and scenic beauty. The sprawling national park has three units: the North Unit, Elkhorn Ranch Unit, and the most-visited South Unit. Rough Rider Center
The world-class facilities of the Rough Rider Center are located less than two miles from Inn at Hunters Run. The Rough Rider Center is host to concerts, expos, sporting events, and more. If you’re visiting the area and looking for something fun to do, they also have an aquatic center with everything from lap pools to lazy rivers to enjoy!
Long X Visitor Center
Stop in and say hi to the friendly staff at the Long X Visitor Center when you get to town. You'll find information on what to do in the area and historical and cultural information about the region. This is also the home of the Pioneer Museum and the oldest petrified tree stump in North Dakota (spoiler alert: it’s 60 million years old!). The visitors center also has an ice cream shop and has a small gift shop where you can pick up a souvenir from your time in Watford City!
